Prior to his retirement in January of 2016, Mr. Daniel Sobic was the Executive Vice President of PACCAR Inc. He began his career in the transportation and manufacturing industries more than 35 years ago at Tenneco Automotive. He joined PACCAR in 1990 as Peterbilt National Sales Manager for PACCAR Parts and was promoted in 2003 to Vice President of PACCAR Inc and General Manager for Peterbilt Motors Company. Mr. Sobic’s previous responsibilities at Peterbilt included Assistant General Manager, General Sales Manager, and Director of U.S. Region Sales. In his last position, he had corporate responsibility for Kenworth Truck Company, PACCAR Parts Division, PACCAR China, and PACCAR India. Mr. Sobic was a member of PACCAR’s Executive Operating Committee.
Mr. Sobic holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as a post-graduate certification from Cornell University and a Masters Degree as a Sloan Fellow from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, college basketball, and spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren.
